The Minnehaha County Planning & Zoning Department will hold a public meeting on Jan. 20 to gather public input for the Red Rock Corridor Plan, a document that will guide decisions on future land use and development standards for the Red Rock corridor.
The Red Rock corridor consists of a mile wide strip of land along South Dakota Highway 42 from Six Mile Road to the South Dakota-Iowa border.
The meeting will be held at the Split Rock Township Fire Department, 7201 E. Arrowhead Parkway, at 7 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and all interested parties are encouraged to attend."

Harney Forecast of Real Estate in 2011
Interesting development regarding the predicted supply of homes forecasted to increase due to more Bank Owned properties entering the market. Has the Sioux Empire seen Bank Owned properties hit the peak? I don't know for sure but we have seen pricing all over the board; from "value priced" to "it's not going to sell". If buyers are looking for properties that need a little TLC, there are plenty to be found. Sometimes these properties are priced correctly and many times too high for the work needed to bring the property to "Owner Occupied" standards.
With all that being said, I believe there is actually a shortage of clean, well cared for properties on the market. Properties that have valued features, good locations and in touch with current market pricing. These properties "still" sell quickly to discriminating buyers.
